Vancouver Photos

I’m not going to post individual photos here. With just a click, you can view the galleries for Vancouver and the Vancouver Aquarium. The Vancouver photos could use some more processing to straighten them out, but I just wasn’t up to it. The aquarium was very tough to shoot inside, as it is DARK. The newly bought 17-55 2.8 IS lens paid for itself in spades. The kit lens would do well too, as long as you don’t zoom in much. The aperature increases when you zoom in, which makes it hard to get enough light. Most of the time I was shooting at ISO 1600 or 3200. As long as the images were properly exposed, they were fairly clean of noise. RAW was definitely helpful here as I was able to adjust the white balance afterwards. I carted around the 40D (and backpack) all day and didn’t notice the weight at all!
